Fisherman was originally established a century ago in Shanghai. In 1949, following the government's relocation to taiwan, the company moved to Kaohsiung, where it continues to cultivate success in the pharmaceutical field.

Beginning in 1987, chairman Wu Kuan-Jen, through implementation of production technology standards and advanced euqipment in R&D and production, extended the company’s concept of health to the manufacture of food products. Alert to potential therapeutic benefits, therapeutic foods were brought to the forefront of the company. squalene , dha, shark cartilage, tortoiseshell extract, bee propolis, and lecithin are just some of the new products, continuously flowing off fisherman pharmaceuticals’ production lines, leading to innovative health concepts, and creating a new world of health culture.

From initial production of fish liver oil to present dosage forms: such as liquid, ointment, capsule and plaster over thouands of products exported to the world. Fisherman always hold the responsibility to promote the traditional chinese pharmaceutics. They have invested much fund and manpower in herbal medicine brew, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology research , effect estimation and vegetal food research. Fisherman continuously research & develop in making the traditional chinese medicine & vegetal food into modernization, scientificization and internationalization.

Fisherman is legally registered for its manufacturing establishment and has been in compliance with the requirements for good manufacturing practice jointly promulgated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, R.O.C. the company is subject to inspections by the Department of Health at apropriate intervals.at the time this certificate is issued, the company is found to have no violations of regulations on record.

The Varieties of the Products

“Fisherman Medical Group” originated from the manufacturing of fish oil years ago and now we are able to produce 30 different types of medicine. The number of varieties is over 1,000. They are divided into the following seven categories:
